How do I clean Pando Cache?

Pando Cache may store excess, temporary data on your computer that can take up valuable space. If you want to clean Pando Cache manually, you can follow the steps outlined below. There is one location in the file system where Pando Cache stores data that can be cleaned.

Files

To clean your file system from files stored by Pando Cache and to gain free disk space, examine the following file system location. First of all, open a command prompt window:

  • Hit the Windows key , usually located in the lower left of your keyboard between the Ctrl and Alt keys.
  • Windows XP/Vista/7: Click Run...
  • Type cmd
  • Hit Enter

Now list all the files stored by Pando Cache that can be cleaned:

  1. Type dir /s %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir /s %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\*

Among the files listed in the previous step, there can be two files which are essential to Pando Cache and must not be deleted. To identify them:

  1. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\*Pando.prev.log
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\*Pando.prev.log
  2. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\pando.save
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\pando.save
  3. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\pando.txt
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\pando.txt
  4. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\pando.prev.log
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\pando.prev.log
  5. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\pando.sav
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\pando.sav
  6. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\pando.log
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\pando.log
  7. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\Pando\Pando Files\Cert
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Pando\Pando Files\Cert

Once you have identified the files stored by Pando Cache that you want to clean, delete them using the del command or Windows Explorer.
