How do I clean Opera Internet History?

To clean your file system from files stored by Opera Internet History and to gain free disk space, examine the following file system locations. First of all, open a command prompt window:

• Windows XP/Vista/7: Click Run...
• Type cmd
• Hit Enter

Now list all the files stored by Opera Internet History that can be cleaned:

1. Type dir /s %APPDATA%\Opera\Opera\global_history.dat
2. Type dir /s %APPDATA%\Opera\Opera\global.dat
3. Type dir /s %APPDATA%\Opera\Opera\typed_history.xml
4. Type dir /s %APPDATA%\Opera\Opera\vlink4.dat
5. Type dir /s %LOCALAPPDATA%\Opera\Opera\vps\*
   • Windows XP: Type dir /s %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Opera\Opera\vps\*

Once you have identified the files stored by Opera Internet History that you want to clean, delete them using the del command or Windows Explorer.
