Files

To clean your file system from files stored by Mount & Blade (All) and to gain free disk space, examine the following file system locations. First of all, open a command prompt window:

  • Hit the Windows key , usually located in the lower left of your keyboard between the Ctrl and Alt keys.
  • Windows XP/Vista/7: Click Run...
  • Type cmd
  • Hit Enter

Now list all the files stored by Mount & Blade (All) that can be cleaned:

  3. Type dir /s %ProgramFiles%\Mount&Blade Warband\rgl_log.txt
    • On 64-Bit also: Type dir /s %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mount&Blade Warband\rgl_log.txt
  4. Type dir /s %ProgramFiles%\Mount&Blade With Fire and Sword\rgl_log.txt
    • On 64-Bit also: Type dir /s %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Mount&Blade With Fire and Sword\rgl_log.txt
  5. Type dir /s %ProgramFiles%\Napoleonic Wars\rgl_log.txt
    • On 64-Bit also: Type dir /s %ProgramFiles(x86)%\Napoleonic Wars\rgl_log.txt
  6. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\Program Files*
  7. For all the folders that were listed in the previous step:
    Type dir /s {folder}\Steam\steamapps\rgl_log.txt where {folder} is one of the folders listed in the previous step.
  8. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\Program Files*
  9. For all the folders that were listed in the previous step:
    Type dir /s {folder}\Mount&Blade\rgl_log.txt where {folder} is one of the folders listed in the previous step.
  10. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\Program Files*
  11. For all the folders that were listed in the previous step:
    Type dir /s {folder}\Mount&Blade Warband\rgl_log.txt where {folder} is one of the folders listed in the previous step.
  12. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\Program Files*
  13. For all the folders that were listed in the previous step:
    Type dir /s {folder}\Mount&Blade With Fire and Sword\rgl_log.txt where {folder} is one of the folders listed in the previous step.
  14. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\Program Files*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\Program Files*
  15. For all the folders that were listed in the previous step:
    Type dir /s {folder}\Napoleonic Wars\rgl_log.txt where {folder} is one of the folders listed in the previous step.

Once you have identified the files stored by Mount & Blade (All) that you want to clean, delete them using the del command or Windows Explorer.
