    • Choose Delete from the context menu.

  4. Type dir /s %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\High\Active\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir /s %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\High\Active\*
  5. Type dir /s %LOCALAPPDATA%\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\High\Last Active\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir /s %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Recovery\High\Last Active\*

Once you have identified the files stored by Internet Explorer History that you want to clean, delete them using the del command or Windows Explorer.
