How do I clean DVD-Ranger?

Files

To clean your file system from files stored by DVD-Ranger and to gain free disk space, examine the following file system locations. First of all, open a command prompt window:

  • Hit the Windows key , usually located in the lower left of your keyboard between the Ctrl and Alt keys.
  • Windows XP/Vista/7: Click Run...
  • Type cmd
  • Hit Enter

Now list all the files stored by DVD-Ranger that can be cleaned:

  1. Type dir %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\DVDRanger\DDF626ADdvdcss\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\DVDRanger\DDF626ADdvdcss\*
  2. Type dir %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\DVDRanger\Logs\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application Data\DVDRanger\Logs\*
  3. Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Documents\DVDRanger\Temp
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\DVDRanger\Temp
  4. Type dir /s %USERPROFILE%\Documents\DVDRanger\Screenshots\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir /s %USERPROFILE%\My Documents\DVDRanger\Screenshots\*
  5. Type dir %SystemDrive%\DVDRanger
  6. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\DVDRanger\DDF626ADdvdcss\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\ProgramData\DVDRanger\DDF626ADdvdcss\*
  7. Type dir %LOCALAPPDATA%\VirtualStore\ProgramData\DVDRanger\Logs\*
    • Windows XP: Type dir %USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\VirtualStore\ProgramData\DVDRanger\Logs\*

Once you have identified the files stored by DVD-Ranger that you want to clean, delete them using the del command or Windows Explorer.
